JANUARY 2009

Tracking various cuts for the CITY OF AUTUMN CD. www.CityOfAutumn.com

APRIL 2009

Mastering the PETER MASSINK 3 "FULL MOON" CD.

Peter is a well-known Sax player in France, and has recorded and toured extensively with many well known international artists. This project was recorded in Holland, and mastered at Spock Studio in New York. You can find more information on Peter and his current projects here: http://www.passaujazzfest.passau-live.de/event.php?eid=18&bl=achiv  and even here: http://www.myspace.com/petermassink

The bulk of this project was completed from Engineers Pete Rocco and Steven Pagano Jr. Please visit the TRACKS TO WAX website to view international reviews of their work on this project, in addtion to their current and upcoming projects at the studio.

JUNE 2009

My very good friend and technical guru, Eddie Ciletti, modified this very early three channel PULTEC unit for me. This was originally designed for three track recording, and is serial number #3 !! This is most likely the oldest surviving PULTEC product.

Eddie had modified it for use in mastering, by utilizing the high quality tubes and transformers,so this unit adds harmonics to the program material not achievable through digital recording. This is variable, so it is easy to dial in straight, clean gain, or beautiful harmonic distortion. Eddie also modified this to work as a sum/difference channel, which has the ability to further enhance the stereo field.

Please check out the links to Eddies' very informative site right here: http://www.tangible-technology.com/

AUGUST 2009

My son Steven Pagano Jr. in front of his new school, the BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC in Boston, MA. Steve has already received international recogntion for some of his past projects, and has created some masterful original music. His presence is sorely missed at the studio.

OCTOBER 2009

MR. RUPERT NEVE with Steven Pagano Jr. and Pete. If you "do this" for a living, you already know who he is. Mr. Neve has designed what are unarguably the finest mixing boards ever made, and used on many legendary recordings. If you dont know who he is, you've been listening to his products every single time you've turned on the radio....become informed !! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rupert-Neve/49160786939

From left, our friends SCOTT SIMON from Waves Audio (www.waves.com), STEVEN PAGANO JR., TONY MASERATI (http://www.tonymaserati.com/) , PETE ROCCO, engineer, and JEFF SCHWARTZ (J.J. Studios). HINT: one of these guys mixes a LOT better than the rest of us....and pretty much everyone else, for that matter....

DECEMBER 2009

We'll be recording a "Van Gelder" type session with some international artists. More on that later. Happy holidays to everyone, and best wishes for a safe and prosperous new year !!
